Some think they're no better than rats ... scavengers only interested in getting food by any means. At Silver Bay they've become troublesome expecting to be fed or stealing food at any opportunity (watch that BBQ!).
Others see them as majestic birds, masters of soaring flight - I always think of that classic book 'Jonathan Livingstone Seagull' and how it's account transcends the gull to a higher purpose in life.
