Bwa Gwyn (White Arch)

Starting from
Rhoscolyn Church and walking out to the coast in the
direction of Trearddur Bay we came across this
fantastic natural arch.... there's even a footpath
over the top of it onto the headland. Researching it
we've found that it's called 'White Arch' or Bwa Gwyn
in Welsh. The rock is white quartizitic - massively
bedded sandstones that have been submitted to low
grade metamorphism.... the wife says "get an
anorak!"
