Treasure Hunt

We've found a new
way of getting the kids out for a walk... a treasure
hunt or 'Geocaching' as it is known.
Geocaching is a high-tech cross between a
treasure hunt and going out for a walk. The object
is to find small, hidden caches (usually
waterproof plastic boxes holding logbooks and
cheap souvenirs) using just the latitude and
longitude readings on your GPS device (although
you could just print out a map). It's also a great
antidote to the "are we there yet" - just let the
kids hold the GPS - they can see exactly where
they are and where they are heading, and they love
finding treasure!
So far we've only logged 5 finds, 1 of these up at
Rhoscolyn look out and another at Trearddur
Bay.
