Blogging - what's the point?

We've been doing this
for over 2 years now and whilst we don't get lots of
visitors there is regular trickle of you interested
in our words and pictures. Sometimes we wonder if
it's worth the effort, but it is somehow therapeutic
and it's now become interesting to look back at our
on-line diary. We do check traffic to our site and
have been amazed to log visitors from as far afield
as Australia, USA, Iceland and many European
countries. But mostly it's you Silver Bay locals who
visit our site and of course Emma's entourage of
friends (it's noticeable that the youngsters are more
willing to leave us comments).
Reading recently about professional blogging, we note that some are willing to accept incentives, freebies and even bribes to publicise local business's.... so if your reading this, have a business near Silver Bay (or anywhere for that matter) and want a mention, please send all contributions to ....
