Treasure Island

From our October
2008 post you will note we've got into
Geocaching as an activity to get the kids
away from their DVD's, Nintendo's etc.. We've now
done most of the Geocahe's close to Silver Bay and
are starting to explore further afield on
Anglesey. A great one that we recently visited was
a real adventure.
Located just near
Wylfa Power Station in Cemaes Bay on the North of
Anglesey is a small island that is only accessible at
low tide. The route involves entering a spectacular
sea cave and quite a bit of scrambling to get up and
out onto the top of the island. Having negotiated the
very precarious route we managed to quickly find the
cache, return back through the cave and out to dry
land before the oncoming tide could cut us off. Sam
thought this one was really fun - except for when he
fell down the 6ft hole at the top of the cave
(thankfully Mum did catch him)!
