Anglesey Rocks!
DSC_0072A
Anglesey apparently has the greatest geo-diversity for its size anywhere in Europe. It has rock formations from most of the major geological eras - the earliest are some 600 million years old (Precambrian). Around Rhoscolyn the rocks are mainly Cambrian (some 500 million years old) and you can find spectacular folded strata - we couldn't ... but this picture is taken near Rhoscolyn and has some nice wrinkly bits!
If you are into rocks then take a look at the GeoMon web site. They are hoping to establish Anglesey as an international Geo Park.
