Wishing Well

Came across this old jacuzzi on a walk over Rhoscolyn head. It's apparently the remains of an old well -
St Gwenfaen founded a church here in the 6th century and this is one of the best preserved holy wells on the island. It was said to have properties that cured, in particular, mental illness - the appropriate offering by sufferers was two white quartz pebbles. If only we'd known at the time we could have been a normal, sane family by now.

Remember those mysterious lights in the sky back in September last year?... A UFO sighting for Silver Bay on that same night is now listed on the MOD web site here.
